Gasless DNS Setup
Overview
With NameStone you can create gasless ENS subnames on your DNS domain (e.g., name.testbrand.xyz). This means you can create as many subnames as you want without a single on-chain transcation.
NameStone works best with Cloudflare. If you are using a different domain registrar you can transfer your domain to Cloudflare.
1. Turn on DNSSEC
Log in to the Cloudflare dashboard and select your account and domain.
[1] Go to DNS > Settings.
[2] For DNSSEC, click Enable DNSSEC.
* Please note: It may take up to 24 hours for DNSSEC to be enabled. Check the status here.
3. Add a new TXT Record
For Type, select '"TXT".
For Name, type an asterisk: *
For Content Field, copy and paste the following record:
ENS1 0x84c5AdB77dd9f362A1a3480009992d8d47325dc3 0x1E0B906b2350aABE06e8051670b083CCe03287FD https://gateway.namestone.xyz/namestone-pg
Each segment in the content field should be separated with a space.
4. Confirm that DNSSEC setup is complete
Now your domain name is ready to issue ENS subnames. Email alex@namestone.xyz to get your API key and start issuing subnames.
